To set up a completely free Stock Photography site has been a dream of ours for years. Royalty free images have become much cheaper recently, but there are still plenty of occasions when a designer has zero budget for photography. Even when there is budget available, it takes time to agree costs with the client, arrange payment and download the image. Deadlines are usually measured in hours, not days so unless a photograph is available free, right now then the only option is clipart or nothing.
We want to change that.
The world is full of talented amateur and student photographers who aren’t taking photos for a living - they’re doing it because they enjoy it. Right now they’ve got the option to sell them for a few pennies each time on royalty free sites, but we think our site offers something much more valuable… The potential for their photographs to be used by global companies, featured in campaigns online and offline around the world. In exchange, photographers get valuable feedback and an invaluable portfolio of international clients.
